One week from today we will be in Ukraine starting our journey to the ancestral villages of Volhynia west of Kiev. We will be staying in the city of Zhitomir and taking day trips to the countryside to the west where the villages are or were. Each of the 12 participants in this tour led by Donald Miller, have submitted names of villages related to our genealogic connections to the past. Villages of interest for us are Ostrowka, Heimthal, Gnadenthal and Granidub.
